We first played this game over a decade ago on our iPad 2. Ever since we first finished the game we’ve come back to play again every now and then. To us, this is the perfect game: open-world space game where you can do what you want. FISHLABS just released a bug fix update (first in four years) which shows they still have dedication to the game. We’ve always loved this game and we continue to replay the story and add-ons again and again.
Great space sim, minor bug with asymmetrical texturing and coloring on the back of the Groza Mk II could be intentional but it doesnt seem like it.
Its the depth and the breadth of this game thats kept it as exciting as its been all this time. Non linear. Go where you want to go. Do what you want to do. Have fun doing it.
A high quality masterpiece without annoying ads or in app purchases. Thank you developers for updating the game and keeping it relevant.

We completed this game a couple of years ago and wanted to replay it but we couldnt get past a certain point because of a bug and now we can. Thanks for updating developers!!
How lucky am we to pick up this game again after having played it about seven or eight years ago. Just when we encountered the supernova bug then the developers fix this in an update! Best mobile game ever played!
Only thing missing is new game + give that end game ship something to do.
Great game in the beginning and decided to pay for add-ons(first in app purchase ever). However after supernova mission 3 the game blackouts in the cutscene and stops all progressions. Fishlabs please fix this issue, this is truly the best space mobile game we have ever played in our life. We just dont want to feel cheated now that Im so close to the end. Update the bug has been fixed-top three mobile game of all time Thank you fishlabs for going above and beyond. You guys are a top tier company and we will hold you in high regards always from this moment forward.
We love the game the only problem we really have with it is it locks onto friendly before enemies more a small inconvenience than anything but still a lovely game.
2023 and is still such a great game with great graphics. If you get discouraged because it starts out slow, stick with it. The ships and weapons and equipment are awesome and you can go wherever you want. Eventually you can make your own plots and there is so much to discover. Finished the game before and doing it again. Thanks.
We would live to see new ships and maybe some more add ons because we love playing this game, we are super late in the game and we know that there are more ships on the PC version and we would love to see them on here as well. Thanks a lot.
Great game. Nice story line with multiple ways to play. In game purchases are reasonable.
Gorgeous game. It draws you in and you cant get out of it. The story is unique in each playthrough is different and we’ve played through the game like six times and we still have fun playing it. A great open world game, plus, it doesnt use data like a lot of other games do so you can bring on the airplane.
Honestly, this game is something that we’ve wanted to exist since we were a little kid playing Star Fox and wishing we could just travel around in our ship freely from planet to planet. Im only a week or two in but we have absolutely no criticism so far. Great job.

Excellent value for your gaming dollar! This cant be said for 99.9 % of the commercial/micro transaction trash that still continue to spread like COVID.
We’ve had an iPhone since there were iPhones. This is one of the first games that we encountered that belongs in the classic that never goes out of style category. There have been subsequent releases; GOF3, etc. Classic case of the enemy of good being better. We would be very interested in a continuation of the GOF2 via the expansions in this game, or as a completely new game. GOF3 didnt really do it for us, but we recommend GOF2 very highly.
We used to play this all the time a few years ago, we had beaten it once and then forgotten all about it, and after a while, we had begun to think it was a fever dream, until today! We randomly found it while searching the App Store and we now have the pleasure of experiencing it all over again!
… But cannot, due to hardware limitations. For a free game, its darn close to a game Id pay $60 for.

One of the best solo space games out there.
We have been playing this game since 2011 and it is by far the best science fiction game on the App Store. Before the HD version of the game came out, models in the game just did not look fantastic, and the Jump drive really needed a new cut scene. Im glad this HD version is available, thanks for 4000+ hours of enjoyment, still working to get more hours on the HD version, 48 hours at the moment, if you want to know, this is all the stuff we have gotten on the new version in the 2 days we have been grinding: 2,036333$ (credits), a Dark Angle, 4 M6 A4 Raccoons which are absolutely incredibly, a Khador drive, Gunants Drill, Yin Co. Shadow Ninja, 6 Rhoda Blackholes, Tyol, Meal, every blueprint and hidden solar system on the free campaign, AB-3 Kingfisher, Fluxed Matter Shield, Hiroto Ultrascan, Ketar Repair Bot, Hammerhead D2A2, EMP GL II, and Intelli Jet. Thank you for reading if you have, and we really hope Deep Silver Fish Lab introduce the game with more campaigns besides the free campaign, Valkrie, and Supernova. We have better things to do with our time than play video games! And yet… This is a really fun game so dont play if you want to do better things than rot your brain. Read a da$n book! But if you also want to waste brain space some this is a really fun way to do it. Way better than the stupid v3! Thats crap!!

This is one of our all time favorite games. Unfortunately we spent a ton of money unlocking things on Mac and it crashes whenever we load it. We dont think its compatible with the new operating system.
Story: 4/5 Through a combination of surprisingly solid voice acting and well-written cutscenes, GOF2s story keeps you engaged from beginning to end. Gameplay: 5/5 From bounty hunting and piracy to mining and smuggling, you will never run out of things to do in this game. Finishing the campaign is honestly just the start of the adventure, as you can continue to unlock new ships and equipment as you freely explore the galaxy. Graphics: 5/5 For an 11 year old game, Galaxy on Fire 2 is still breathtaking. The glittering starfield will have you in awe as you charge your Khador drive to chart the next system. Sound: 4/5 A beautiful and intense score sets the mood here. The only downside is the slightly repetitive combat music. Total: 4.5/5 Galaxy on Fire 2 is quite possibly one of the best mobile games of all time. Recommended for everyone, but especially space and adventure fans. Its unfortunate that Deep Silver Fishlabs has moved on, as newer devices tend to have some scaling issues with their bigger screens, and the Steam port has yet to receive the two fantastic DLCs. If they came back to rectify these issues, we (and many other fans) would be grateful. In the meantime, we also recommend you check out Everspace 1 & 2, spiritual successors to the Galaxy on Fire series made by the original developers. You wont regret it.
One of the best games we’ve played and by far our favorite mobile game. We’ve played through 5 times over the years. We wish the third one was as good. Thankfully the old team is working on Everspace 2 which will be the spiritual successor to this game.
A Multiplayer Mode For Friends,
This game is astounding. It is the best mobile game we’ve played, dare we say one of the best games we’ve ever played period. The visuals are beautiful, the controls are laid out very nicely, wonderful storyline, fun DLC… Pretty much every aspect of this game is fantastic. Seriously, download this game. And we would definitely recommend buying the DLC, it is so worth it.
Very similar to old Priviteer. Good single player game for iPhone (use phone to control the flight). Can play why waiting for something and then stop.
We feel like is should be platonic this on pc. This is like the star wars game we never had. So much fun, one of our favorite games of all time.
FISHLABS you have created a master peace with this game. It is, in all honesty, one of the best games we have ever played. We know the game came out years ago, but we promise you there are still loyal fans. Thank you so much for giving us this amazing experience. This game will forever be in our heart as one of our favorite open world games. And we dont even like open world games.
This game is definitely amazing. But the control system is not up to date with new phone sizes. Right now Im using a iPhone 11. The screen layout of the game puts the control on the bottom left corner, which makes us hard to control the ship. We hope developers can add a floating control handle function to the game, it would be a lot easier for people with newer versions of phones to play this game.
We think this is probably our favorite mobile game period. However there is still a bug that prevents you from continuing the game in the supernova add on when you evacuate the space station. There is so much to do in this game we love it.

This is easily the best mobile game out there. An expansive world and economy, entertaining story and dialogue, and no pay to win structure like almost all other mobile games. Cannot recommend enough.

We are very happy the game has remained as it was for this long. So much of the video game industry, mobile especially, has defaulted to preying on their consumer base for their time and money as much as possible. With a simple yet thoroughly designed fun experience like this, we can show everyone that future entertainment doesnt have to be so soulless; If they take inspiration from a game like this.
Been playing it since we were a kid, theres honestly nothing quite like it out there. Replayability is very high, tons of content for a free game, and parts that requires grinding is not bad at all (buying high end ships), we didnt buy the paid contents when we were younger (stingy) but when we replayed this game later, we did, and it was worth every penny. Absolutely great game plus nostalgia.
This game is absolutely flawless, its like our other Infinity Blade (Even tho they are 2 different genres) there is practically nothing wrong with this game and it would be the best if it ever went on console. This game is absolutely worth it, Id pay a hundred bucks for it its that gd. Please do get if u like sci fi spacey stuff.
