EA Sports FC 24 surged to the top of the UK’s physical sales charts, as reported by Gfk (via GamesIndustry), marking a significant 42% increase in sales. This rise in sales dethroned Hogwarts Legacy, pushing it to second place. This shift contributed to price reductions for the PS4 and PS5 versions of EA’s football title.

A new Surprise in the rankings is the reappearance of Mortal Kombat 1, securing the third spot, primarily attributed to PS5 price promotions. Despite a 27% drop in sales, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate maintained its fourth position. The cooperative adventure game It Takes Two made an impressive return to the top ten, landing at the 10th spot after witnessing a 52% surge in sales.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder experienced a downturn, sliding to the fifth position with a 36% decline in sales. Other significant re-entries were Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and Red Dead Redemption 2, although they did not reach the top ten, settling for 21st and 22nd, respectively.
